Your teen meets their potential coach via a brief video intro, building trust and ownership from day one.

    Real-Time Troubleshooting

If a plan isn’t working, we pivot fast. Teens and parents can reach out for on-the-spot support—no more waiting a full week to fix simple issues.

  • LOCK IN.

    Sustainable Progress

As your teen sees results, we refine each strategy to ensure these wins become long-lasting.

    Regular Parent Updates

We keep you in the loop with real, honest feedback: what’s working, what’s not, and how you can help at home.

    Built to Last

FAQs

Who are Mike and Sean?

They’ve tutored, coached, taught, and mentored several hundred teens and tweens, including several complex cases (involving medical, legal, criminal, behavioral, family, special education, immigration, and mental health issues). What makes RESET different?

We help teens create real changes in their daily lives. Instead of just talking about problems, we focus on building better habits - whether that's managing phone use, handling school work, or building social confidence. We look at how your teen spends their time and help them make changes that work for them.

How does your program work?

First, we spend two weeks learning your teen's daily patterns. When do they feel most energetic? When do they struggle? What helps them focus? What drains them? Small discoveries - like realizing they study better right after sports, or certain social media habits make them anxious - help us build a plan that fits their life.

Then we help them make small changes, one at a time. We're there with regular check-ins to support them through these changes and make sure they stick.

Can RESET work with therapy?

Yes! Many families use RESET alongside therapy - we help turn insights into actions. Other families use RESET on its own for practical support. Either way, we focus on building better daily habits.

How do you work with teens who have ADHD, anxiety, or depression?

We're educators, not therapists, but our practical approach often helps teens with these diagnoses:

  • With ADHD: We break big tasks into smaller steps and create clear routines. Daily check-ins often work better than weekly meetings.

  • With anxiety: We help create predictable schedules and build confidence through small wins.

  • With depression: We focus on taking small actions rather than waiting to feel motivated.

We work best as part of a support team - often alongside therapists and other professionals.

How do your check-ins work?

We adapt to what your teen needs. Most teens start with weekly meetings, but we add extra support when needed. For example, if they're working on better sleep habits, we might check in briefly each evening until new patterns stick. As things improve, we scale back.

What's your approach to working with parents?

Parents are central to everything we do. We believe in real partnership - giving you clear insights into what's working while respecting your deep understanding of your teen. You'll get weekly updates that actually tell you what's happening, not just generic feedback. Have a concern? Text us. Notice something working well? Let us know. While we give teens space to build independence, we keep parents actively involved and informed.

How do you coordinate with existing support systems?

We complement existing therapeutic work rather than replace it. Having worked extensively in educational settings, we understand how different support systems operate - from school counselors to private therapists, from teachers to tutors. We focus on practical, day-to-day progress that aligns with and supports your current plans.

What if my teen is resistant?

Being honest: this works best when teens want to change. We start with what matters to them - maybe sleeping better, feeling more confident, or just having more free time. Small wins usually build momentum. If they're truly not ready, we can discuss timing or other options.

What makes your approach different from therapy?

We're educators and coaches focused on practical progress through daily action. While therapy plays a valuable role, our expertise lies in creating concrete strategies and measurable improvements. We work alongside therapeutic support, translating broader insights into specific daily wins.

What can parents expect from the program?

Clear, honest updates about progress, and -

  • Quick responses when you reach out

  • Real changes you can see and measure

  • Regular check-ins about what's working

  • A true partner in supporting your teen

Many parents tell us the best part is finally having a clear picture of what's really going on and how to help. We work hard to give you both peace of mind and practical ways to support your teen's growth.
